From the Gospel Project website:
"In God’s Big Picture, Vaughan Roberts shows how the different parts of the Bible fit together under the theme of the kingdom of God. He provides both the encouragement and the tools to help you read the Bible with confidence and understanding. Each chapter progresses through the Bible, showing how the Scriptures are united around God and His rule.
Roberts will take you through Creation, Fall, Israel, the prophets, the exile, Jesus, the Church, and the coming Kingdom, all the while showing how the Bible itself tells one story – the story of our world. Most importantly, Roberts points you to the Bible’s supreme subject, Jesus Christ, and the salvation God offers through him."

Dr Bryan Chapell, President of Covenant Theological Seminary gives this review:
"Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert are zealous to make sure that we honor the gospel not only in word but also in deed by caring for "the least of these" as Christ instructed. But how can a local church make a difference, and how do individual Christians meaningfully reflect Christ's grace, when the disparities of wealth and power in our world are so great? And how do we show material care without drifting into a social gospel devoid of spiritual priorities? When Helping Hurts explores biblical principles in terms of real-life situations to offer real help and grace-filled answers for such questions."

Paul took his books seriously. "When you come," he wrote to Timothy, "bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments" (2 Tim. 4:13). Tools for the calling of teaching, discipling and raising up believers. Isn't that what we're doing as parents and teachers? Is it a natural inclination for you to give away your books and make more recommendations -- lists of recommendations -- for others to read? What better way to verify the truth: "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35)?
