For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. (Hebrews 6:10, ESV)
The intent of this blog series is to introduce our church to people serving in various ways throughout our church body, people you may know well or not so well, so as to give us all an opportunity to learn more about each other, learn from each other, and be mutually encouraged in God's gracious work through us, as instruments in His hands.
This month's volunteer being interviewed is Jen Faidley who currently serves on the Women's Ministry Team:
How long have you been attending 3RG?
For 5 years. I'm very thankful to be involved at Three Rivers Grace.
What are some of your favorite hobbies/things to do with your free time?
reading, hiking, enjoying the sunshine, drinking coffee/tea on my back porch, seeing new places
What are some of the ministries you have helped lead or coordinate in your time at 3RG?
In the past I've been blessed to have been apart of the MOPS leadership, lead the greeter team, and I currently serve on the ladies ministry team.
One of the things you have helped coordinate is some of the the free literature we provide on our resource table. One of the things we provide are the mini-books from New Growth Press that deal with various topics. What do you like most about these particular mini-books?
I like these mini-books because they offer solid, biblical, gospel- centered help for specific topics and issues. They are short and easy to read and can be read over and over until the truths transform the mind. The mini-books are written by theologically like minded pastors, counselors and lay persons.
What do you think the value is in a church having such resources available in a local church?
I believe that resources in the local church are an extension of its ministry. These small booklets on specific issues provide hope by proclaiming you're not alone in your struggles, there is grace for you, the gospel is the answer and Jesus meets you there. These booklets give people a place to begin because they offer Biblical wisdom and hope for the future.
The purpose of our church blog is to serve the overall mission of our church: to delight in the beauty of God's greatness,
