#MondayMeditation: A meditation on the Scriptures in a 140 words or less
The phrase, "The best of men are still men at best," attributed to Charles Spurgeon, reminds that when we meet one of our heroes, we are often left disappointed. Up close, those amazing people aren’t always that amazing anymore. Speak with the spouse of your hero. They probably aren’t nearly as mesmerized as you are.
But have your ever thought about the fact that although all your heroes, in this life, will likely fail you in some way, you will not in the least be disappointed by Jesus when you see Him? John said, “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, ‘Fear not" (Revelation 1:17).
When we see Jesus up close, we’ll only be left even more amazed at His beauty, power, and tender care.
