Call to Worship & Praise
Song: Glory to God Forever by Steve Fee & Vicky Beeching
Welcome: The middle portion of our mission statement says that we exist to proclaim the truth of God's Word. Because God's Word, the Scriptures, are truth, they are worthy of our faith and obedience. Ultimately the embodiment of God's Word to us is Jesus Christ Himself, the Word made flesh.
Song: How Firm a Foundation
Scripture Reading & Prayer
Old Testament Reading: Zephaniah 2
New Testament Reading: Romans 14:13-19
Renewal in Grace
John 14:27- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Song: Now Why This Fear? by Doug Plank and Augustus Toplady
Responsive Reading: But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
(Ephesians 2:13-17 ESV)

The Lord’s Supper
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. (Romans 14:17-19 ESV)
