Tim Wolford

Elder

I grew up in the Pittsburgh area and was active in the church throughout my childhood and teenage years. When I left home for college I strayed from the faith and spent several years pursuing worldly desires. By God’s grace, He showed me the futility in pursuing happiness apart from Christ, and I was baptized as a believer at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in 2011. I am blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Rachel, and we have three amazing children, Luke, Avery and Jake. I enjoy college football, fitness, skiing, and movies.

Ben Reaoch

Lead Pastor for Preaching + Vision

My parents became Christians when I was very young, and they faithfully taught me the Gospel as I grew up. I’m not sure exactly when I was converted, but God was working on me. By my senior year in high school I was seeking the Lord and praying about how He would use me in the future. During my freshman year at Wheaton College, I felt very clearly that God was calling me into vocational ministry. Stacy and I were married in 1999, and we spent two years at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, where I was an apprentice. We then went to Southern Seminary in Louisville for my M.Div. and Ph.D. I served a church in Elizabethtown, KY for 3 years as Minister of Students, and then came to 3RG in 2006 as a vocational elder. We are blessed with 4 wonderful kids: Milaina, Noah, Annalyse, and Micah. I enjoy running, attending our kids’ activities, and going on dates with Stacy.

Ken Hovis

Elder

I was raised in a Christian home, and my family was very active in the local Church. Growing up, my parents owned a Christian bookstore, and I was exposed to the Gospel at a young age through the local church. By God’s grace, I was saved at the age of 6 in the basement of this church and was baptized shortly after. I attended Mount Union College and received my Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Carnegie Mellon University. My wife, Jen, and I were married in 2008, in Pittsburgh. We lived in the Middle East in Doha, Qatar for five years. We have three children, Levi, Alivia, and Micah, two of whom were born in Doha. I enjoy hunting, fishing and all types of outdoor activities and sports.
